Looking for a more refined cut? The Kao Innovation & Collaboration Studio has laser cutters that students can use to cut out specific pieces for their projects.

These cutters can perform vector cuts as well as engrave into materials, such as wood and acrylic. If you want to laser cut on a different material other than wood or acrylic, please check with the front desk staff first. If you need to use ABS or other toxic materials, you will need to get approval by an advisor prior to making any cuts due to health hazards. Please note: polycarbonate is not allowed.

Please prepare the files you want to engrave before coming to the Kao ICS. Since we use Inkscape to upload vector images, please save your files in .png or .jpg formats.
